This blog belongs to Owen who is 11 years old. He moved to Grenada in September 2014 with us, his family, while I volunteer with Cuso International. He is sharing his thoughts about moving to a foreign country, living in the Caribbean and how it is to come home after ten months away.

A camping I will go...

Last week I went to a camp. It was a bible camp at the Brighton Fellowship Christian Reformed Church. I enjoyed it. It was very fun because we got to play games and do crafts. We also learned some bible stories. Some of the crafts we did were drawing and decorating a small wooden chest into a treasure chest. One of the games was dressing up in snorkeling gear and a life jacket and running to a kiddie pool and back again. I learned how to make new friends which will help me in Grenada.

Left vs right

When we move to Grenada my mom will work far away so we will need to buy a car

I think when I am in Grenada we will have an old car that has the steering wheel on the right side of the car. I hope the car will be a nice shade of white because white will reflects the sun so it will be cooler. People drive on left side of the road unlike in Canada we dive on the right side of the road.

When we leave we  Grenada we will sell the car.  Cars cost between $6,000 XCD and $35,000.
