This blog belongs to Owen who is 11 years old. He moved to Grenada in September 2014 with us, his family, while I volunteer with Cuso International. He is sharing his thoughts about moving to a foreign country, living in the Caribbean and how it is to come home after ten months away.

What I will miss while I am in Grenada

Today is one hundred days until we leave to go to Grenada. Here are some of the things I think I will miss while I am gone:
  • My family who are not coming to Grenada.
  • My friends from Goodwin Learning Centre and Brighton Public School
  • Cotton candy.
  • Bacon.
  • The Chrysler Pacifica with heated seats which would be silly in Grenada.
  • Our house because it feels like home and I am not sure Grenada will feel like home.
  • The Tin Roof's soft serve ice cream.
  • Board games because we won't be able to bring them with us.
  • Real books but we will be able to e-books from Brighton's public library
Even though I know I will miss things about home I am excited to go!
